Description: Dr. Jensen discusses her CHEAR supported project “Perfluorinated compounds and high fat diet in relation to CVD-relevant metabolomic pathways in the SEARCH for Diabetes in Youth study.” Dr. Jensen focuses on the evaluation of associations between identified metabolites and known risk factors for and markers of cardiometabolic disease at follow up. The results of this project may help inform future studies designed to mitigate risk of cardiovascular disease complications in youth-onset diabetes.
