Description: This module introduces the concept of environmental exposures and discusses common routes of exposure. It describes how biological specimens could be used to assess environmental exposures, how these analyses can be added to studies, and the variety of samples that can be used. Examples are utilized to highlight how environmental exposures can be added to a study. Finally, we discuss why including environmental exposure data will enhance studies of human health outcomes.
